    Jugal,

In this post you’ll find the “plan” I’ve used to study. You’ll see that there’s no fast track, what exists is hard work to do well right in the first time you take the test.

Hey.. I am a graduate in engineering from the Pune University.I graduated in the year 2008 itself so i do not have any experience in the industry.I have registered to take the GMAT on the 20th of january. As i am also taking some tests for MBA in India as well, i cannot prepone my test date.Could you please guide me about what are my chances to qualify for a decent B-School in USA this year without experience and when i am taking the test so late. Also, what is the minimum GMAT score i should aim at to be able to overcome the drawback of not having any experience.

hey thanks a lot for your sugestion.I completely agree with the suggestion that you gave to me. But,as far as MBA in India is considered there are definitly many opportunities for aspirants without job experience as well.I am not completely banking upon doing my post graduation from the US only. I just wanted to know my chances for MBA there. But i definitly realise that the chances are very dim but nonetheless now that i have a date for GMAT i will try and give it my best attempt. If not now then maybe some years down the line till my scores are valid i may be able to utilise the score obtained.n i wish to pursue an MBA because that is what i am keen to step into and i feel i have the aptitude for it.

To add to what Eduardo has said, I’d like to say that you should figure out what you are passionate about. It’s not enough to want to do an MBA – what is better still is the clarity that comes with work experience. An aspirant who is sure that she/he wants to work in a specific domain – say Logistics, is better than someone who wants to do an MBA just generally. Also, work experience helps you understand concepts better – you have a better perspective too.

Eduardo is correct in pointing out that a very high GMAT score cannot compensate for lack of industry exposure (work experience). However, there are some exceptions every year.
