Manhattan Review is one of the best institutes for Gmat. Its in Hyderabad. Try to enquire abt other locations also. They provide some nice guidance even for admission processing also.

all the institutes are equally good and equally bad. what we need to understand is … GMAT is all about simple English and Mathematics. some of these institutes can only help develop some sort of discipline in us to have to take the test. should have the same discipline in us…. we dont need any institution. get a couple of books from the market (Kaplan and McGraw Hill are my picks) and spend some time on this website. you would crack the GMAT easily.
All the best

All these training institutions helps u in developing the basic skills u need. this u will get from the best books u purchase from the market. But what more important about these institutions are they help u in finding the answer by applying certain techniques, short cut methods and some easy ways to eliminate the wrong answers an thus click the write ones. This helpss u a lot in saving much of ur precious time in actually solving the long problems and no need to learn the algebra. For instance, PLUGING IN METHODE helps you to solve long step problems in one minute and this technique helps u in not learning the algebra in GMAT. I went to Princeton and i think tats a good one. am not sure abt other institutions. research on others and decide. to add to this, joining a instituiton can never guarantee u a high score. u need to practice a lot to learn different types of questions. ALL THE BEST GUYS.

My experience is … I have been to all the institutions in Hyderabad, India … Kaplan, Priceton, TIME.. etc for a classroom coaching. the experiences are quite different. Kaplan dint want to take me as i had just one month before i have my exam date. Kaplan insisted that i need 3 months time for them to prepare me for a scoe of 700+. Priceton was even more funny. the counselor started hard selling his institute. below is the conversation i had … may not be exact but a gist…
Me: so, how do you get to know the GMAT pattern?
Counselor: we have operations in 25 countries and we have 200,000 faculty. there are atleast 10 faculty who would be taking GMAT per day just to understand the GMAT pattern.
Me: so you have 200,000 full time faculty working for you
Counselor: yes
me: do you know which is the private company with highest number of employees
Counselor: dont know
me: Exxon … with 250,000 people and i am sure Kaplan is not in the top 10 employers of the world.
Counselor: !!!!!????
the reason i was putting all the above before everyone is … i just took 20 days of my time … that too while i was on business travel to crack GMAT. interestingly i took my GMAT in US while i was traveling and it worked fine.
spend 2 to 4 hours religiously on the syllabus and atleast one hour on LearnHub and i am sure even an average student like me can crack GMAT in couple months.
all the best to the GMAT aspirants

Hi There Shahsi and Cheetus
Thank You very much for your valuable insights into the dirty world of GMAT Prep :-). All the american institutes are raking in the money exploiting the popular educational fads …just hype nothing else.
I am a 40 year old who have not touched a math book for the past 25 years so I realised I need more “Pre GMAT” prep than GMAT itself.
I bought a princeto Gmat and went through it. Its a deploarable how they present the answers at the end of the section. “Plugging in” “Elimination” and other techniques. I rather spend the time to learn the subject than learn all these techniques.
I greatly apprciate your help. If you know of any long term coaching centers which can teach the basics please keep me posted. Thanks again.
